The workshop gathered about 80 participants: parents who educate children from autistic spectrum disorders, and professionals (doctors, therapists occupational teachers and psychologists) who are involved in working with children with autism in the country.
In the workshop, consultants from Institute Knospe-ABA Daniel Hurwitz (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) and Janina Menze (professional certificate in occupational therapy) offered high quality materials that were aimed at explaining the fundamental principles of ABA therapy / VB and efficient procedures and productive training and education of children with autistic spectrum disorders.
This short but very effective meeting had a friendly atmosphere but also one in which professionalism was at home. Important topics in working with children with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) such as: understanding behavior and behavioral functions, use of reinforcements in dealing with such children, getting control of instructional techniques for training children was taught in a clear and accessible manner not only to specialists but for the parents as well. Presentations were fully filled with videos, practical exercises, which facilitated understanding the presented material.

Collaboration between professionals and parents of the two countries will finally work with the closing workshop. During July specialists will visit several families that educate children with special needs and implement the methods taught in the daily practice of working with these children.
